Night in the Thar Desert

On this tour you'll spend a night in the Thar desert. We'll enjoy sunset and sunrise over the sand dunes, ride camels, and visit the Osian temples.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your selected point in Jodhpur and drive to Osian, an oasis in the Thar Desert.

This town has numerous Hindu temples dating back to the 8th century. On the tour, we'll take you to the Sachiya Mata Temple, a walled Jain monument known for the sculptures on the roof. We recommend checking out the statues that pay homage to Goddess Durga.

We'll continue our tour to the Thar desert village where we'll spend the night. After settling into the huts, we'll embark on a camel ride to watch the sunset while riding across the dunes.

After the camel ride, we will return to the camp for dinner under the stars, before settling in for the night.

With the first light of dawn, we'll wake up to watch the sunrise over the Thar desert. The colors of the dunes will be memorable.

We'll have breakfast together and finally head to Jodhpur, where the tour will end at around midday.
