Kruger National Park 4-Day Safari

On this 4-day safari around Kruger National Park, we'll tour the savannah to search for lions, elephants, zebras, and other wildlife of southern Africa.

Description

Day 1: Johannesburg - Hazyview

Welcome to Johannesburg! We will collect you from the airport or your hotel and travel to the northeast part of South Africa, near the border with Mozambique. The journey lasts around 4 hours to a lodge in Hazyview. After a light lunch, you can rest. In the evening, we will watch the sunset over Kruger National Park and return for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview

We start early for a sunrise safari around Kruger National Park to spot the Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, and elephants. The first safari lasts 2 hours and concludes with a picnic-style breakfast. We continue exploring rivers and plains, taking a break for swimming and lunch at your own expense before returning to the lodge.

Day 3: Hazyview - Drakensberg - Hazyview

After breakfast, we depart for a tour of the Drakensberg mountains. First, we visit the God's Window Viewpoint for views of Kruger Park, followed by Bourke's Luck Potholes in the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve. Next, we see Lisbon Falls and head to the town of Graskop for lunch before returning to the lodge.

Day 4: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview - Johannesburg

We depart early for another sunrise safari around Kruger National Park for more wildlife viewing. Afterward, a breakfast stop is planned before returning to the lodge to collect luggage. We aim to arrive back at the airport in Johannesburg by around 5 or 6 pm.

Accommodation

This safari includes 3 nights of accommodation with breakfast at the Umbhaba Eco Lodge (3 stars) or a similar category. The listed prices are per person in a double bedroom.

Flights and Transfers

For your flights to Johannesburg, note that on the first day, pickup from O.R Tambo International Airport occurs between 6:30 am and 7 am, with the final departure at 7:15 am. Your flight should arrive no later than 5 am. It is recommended to stay in Johannesburg the night before the safari. On safari day, we can collect you from hotels within 5km (3.1 miles) of Johannesburg Airport.

On the last day, we will arrive in Johannesburg around 5:30 pm - 6 pm. We can drop you off at a hotel or lodge within 5km (3.1 miles) of the airport. Ensure your flights are booked after 8 pm for national flights or 9 pm for international flights on the last day.
