Kruger National Park 4-Day Safari

On this 4-day safari around Kruger National Park, we will explore the African savannah in search of various wildlife, including lions and elephants.

Description

Day 1: Johannesburg - Hazyview

Welcome to Johannesburg! You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel for a 4-hour journey to a lodge in Hazyview. After a light lunch at the lodge, you can rest. In the evening, enjoy a sunset over Kruger National Park before dinner.

Day 2: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview

After an early rise, we head to Kruger National Park for a sunrise safari. This 2-hour safari aims to spot the Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, and elephants. Following a picnic-style breakfast, we continue our safari, concluding the tour at a rest area for lunch (at your own expense). Return to the lodge for leisure time.

Day 3: Hazyview - Drakensberg - Hazyview

After breakfast, we tour the Drakensberg mountains, stopping at God's Window Viewpoint for views of Kruger Park. We will visit Bourke's Luck Potholes and Lisbon Falls, before lunch in Graskop. Return to the lodge for the rest of the day.

Day 4: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview - Johannesburg

We will depart early for another sunrise safari in Kruger Park. After breakfast, return to the lodge to collect your luggage before heading back to the airport in Johannesburg, expected arrival around 5 or 6 pm.

Accommodation

This safari includes 3 nights of accommodation with breakfast at the Umbhaba Eco Lodge (3 stars) or similar. Prices are per person for double occupancy.

Flights and Transfers

When booking flights to Johannesburg, ensure arrival before 5 am on the safari's first day. Pickup from O.R Tambo International Airport will occur between 6:30 am and 7:15 am. For convenience, staying in Johannesburg the night before is recommended. On the last day, return to Johannesburg at around 5:30 pm - 6 pm, with drop-off available for hotels within 5km (3.1 miles) of the airport, allowing for flight departures no earlier than 8 pm for domestic and 9 pm for international flights.
