This Pretoria Day Trip begins with a pick-up from your hotel at 9:30 am. Known as the Jacaranda City for its many Jacaranda trees, our first stop is the Voortrekker Monument, a South African National Heritage Site where you can learn about Afrikaner history, the Great Trek, and the Battle of Blood River.

After the monument, you will have 30 minutes of free time for lunch. Next, we proceed to Church Square, the core of Pretoria, where you’ll see significant buildings like the Palace of Justice and the Raadsaal, which served as the Parliament seat of South Africa.

The tour continues to the Union Buildings, home to the world’s largest sculpture of Nelson Mandela, standing at 9 metres tall. Finally, we will visit the Paul Kruger House Museum to gain insight into the regional conflicts of the late 19th century, and you will also have the opportunity to visit Melrose House.
