Sterkfontein Caves Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel at the agreed time and set off to the Sterkfontein Caves. After about an hour's drive, we'll make our first stop at the Maropeng Museum to learn about significant fossils such as Mrs. Ples, the Taung boy, and Little Foot. The museum offers exhibitions detailing the planet's formation and the evolutionary processes leading to modern humans.
Following the museum, we'll enter the caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These caves contain fossil remains of hominids and animals over four million years old, representing the oldest human remains in the world. You'll gain insight into the caves' history, their formation, and their significance for humankind.
After 5 hours and 30 minutes of exploring the origins of mankind, we'll take you back to your hotel in Johannesburg.
