Lake Titicaca 2-Day Tour

Would you like to get to know Lake Titicaca and the ethnic groups that live there? On this 2-day excursion from Juliaca, we'll visit the islands of Uros, Taquile, and Amantani. You will also experience local hospitality by staying with a family.

Lake Titicaca 2-Day Tour

Day 1: Juliaca - Uros Islands - Amantani

Between 5:15 am and 6:30 am, pickup will occur at your hotel in Juliaca for a minibus ride to Puno, where we will change transport to a boat. We will first visit two Uros islands, artificial islets made of aquatic plants, to learn about their beliefs and lifestyle.

Next, we will proceed to the island of Amantani, where we will drop off our luggage and have lunch at a local family's home. The meal consists of two courses and a soft drink.

After lunch, we will take a one-hour hike to Pachamama or Pachatata hills, gaining insights into Amantani's history and capturing photos of the agricultural terraces. We will visit the temples and enjoy the sunset.

In the evening, dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay with a local family.

Day 2: Amantani - Taquile - Juliaca

We will start the day with breakfast at 8:00 am, then depart for the island of Taquile.

On Taquile, we will spend four hours exploring the handicraft market, learning about the island's textile art, and walking to viewpoints.

Before returning, we'll have lunch with two courses and a soft drink. The excursion concludes at 4 pm at your hotel in Juliaca.

Accommodation

The tour includes one night’s accommodation in a homestay on Amantani, with two lunches, one dinner, and one breakfast provided.

Tour ending in Puno

If preferred, the tour can end in Puno instead of returning to Juliaca. We will drop you off at a central location or hotel of your choice.
