Lake Titicaca 2-Day Tour

Would you like to get to know Lake Titicaca and the ethnic groups that live there? On this 2-day excursion from Juliaca we'll visit the islands of Uros, Taquile, and Amantani. In addition, we'll get in touch with the hospitality of the local people by staying with a local family.

Lake Titicaca 2-Day Tour

Day 1: Juliaca - Uros Islands - Amantani

Between 5:15 am and 6:30 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Juliaca and take a minibus to Puno, where we'll switch to a boat to cross Lake Titicaca.

We'll visit two Uros islands, made of aquatic plants, learning about the local beliefs and their way of life. Afterwards, we will head to Amantani, where we'll have lunch at a local family's home, including two courses and a soft drink.

After lunch, we will hike for one hour to see the Pachamama or Pachatata hills, view the agricultural terraces, and visit the temples. We will enjoy a sunset before dinner and rest at the local family's house.

Day 2: Amantani - Taquile - Juliaca

After breakfast, including coffee or tea, fruits, and bread, we will depart at 8:00 am to Taquile. We will spend four hours on the island visiting the handicraft market and experiencing the textile art and viewpoints.

We will have lunch with two courses and a soft drink before saying goodbye and finishing the excursion at 4 pm at your hotel in Juliaca.

Accommodation

The tour includes one night's accommodation in a home stay with a local family on Amantani Island, with two lunches, one dinner, and one breakfast included.

Tour ending in Puno

If preferred, the tour can end in Puno instead of returning to Juliaca, with drop-off at a central location or hotel of your choice.
