Discover one of the most picturesque villages nestled in the southern Peruvian Andes on this private tour to Lampa. This journey invites you to delve into its rich historical tapestry as we walk through its charming old town, which dates back to the 16th century.
Lampa Private Tour
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Juliaca at the scheduled time, after which we will set our sights northwest towards Lampa.
Following approximately a one-hour drive, we will dedicate an hour and a half to uncovering the historic center of Lampa. As we wander through the quaint streets, you'll marvel at the lively hues of the buildings and capture countless photographs. The town is affectionately referred to as the 'Pink City'—you’ll quickly see why it carries this vibrant name.
While visiting Grau Square and the Plaza de Armas, you’ll find the stunning Church of Santiago Apostle. This remarkable structure, built entirely of stone in the 17th century, showcases colonial architecture. Within its walls, you'll encounter exquisite paintings from the Cusco School of Fine Arts, a replica of Michelangelo's Pieta, and an organ that made its journey from Belgium in 1620.
As our exploration winds down, we will return to the vehicle, concluding our tour after three and a half hours by dropping you off at your hotel in Juliaca.
Alternate Ending in Puno
If you wish to conclude your journey in Puno, we can certainly accommodate that request. Instead of returning to Juliaca, you can opt to be dropped off at any central spot or hotel in Puno for your convenience.
