Stargazing at Mauna Kea Volcano

Enjoy a once in a lifetime stargazing experience at the Mauna Kea volcano on the island of Hawaii.

Description

We'll meet at the pickup point of your choice at the indicated time and head to the Mauna Kea volcano. After hopping in our 4x4, we'll journey to the summit of Mauna Kea, the highest point in Hawaii. On the way, we will have a snack and a warm drink while enjoying the views.

At the top of the crater, we will witness the sunset from the Mauna Kea volcano. We will choose a quiet area to use a laser pointer for a discussion about the constellations and planets. We will also use a professional telescope for stargazing. Photos can be taken with a DSLR camera, either solo or in pairs. This activity lasts six to seven hours.
