Having picked you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, we'll make our way to the historic centre of one of the largest cities in Africa.

Our first stop will be the Cairo Citadel, a medieval fortress known as the best-known non-ancient monument in the city. Inside we'll visit the beautifully decorated Mohamed Ali mosque, built from alabaster stone.

Next, we'll go to the Khan el-Khalili market, the most famous in Cairo, whose streets resemble an open-air museum, ideal for purchasing souvenirs and reproductions of ancient Egyptian objects.

We'll stop to eat after visiting the market, with a menu including various salads, a main course with rice and vegetables, and a refreshing fruit salad for dessert.

In the afternoon, we'll spend about an hour and a half at the Egyptian Museum, housing masterworks of the ancient period, including over 200 pieces from the legendary treasures of Tutankhamun, such as the golden funerary mask.

We'll visit Coptic Cairo, exploring Al-Muallaqa, known as the hanging church, and the church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, also referred to as the cave church where the holy family sought refuge.

This experience will conclude back at your hotel about 8 hours after pickup, having discovered the most important places of interest in Cairo.
