On this tour we'll explore the historic centre of Cairo, touring its must-see locations: the Cairo Citadel, the Mohamed Ali Mosque, the Khan el-Khalili market, and the Egyptian Museum, where the tomb of Tutankhamun can be found.

Having picked you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, we'll make our way to the historic centre of one of the largest cities in Africa.

Our first stop will be the Cairo Citadel, an enormous fortress and the best-known non-ancient monument in the city. Inside, we'll visit the Mohamed Ali mosque, known as the alabaster mosque due to its white stone.

Next, we'll head to the Khan el-Khalili market, the most famous in Cairo, featuring labyrinthine streets ideal for purchasing souvenirs and reproductions of ancient Egyptian objects.

We'll stop to eat after visiting the market, with a menu that includes various salads, a main course with rice and vegetables, and a refreshing fruit salad for dessert.

In the afternoon, we'll spend about an hour and a half at the Egyptian Museum, notable for housing the legendary treasures of Tutankhamun. Here, you can view over 200 pieces, including the golden funerary mask.

We'll also visit Coptic Cairo, exploring Al-Muallaqa (the hanging church) and the church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, known as the cave church, where the holy family were hidden.

This experience will conclude back at your hotel around eight hours after pickup, having discovered the most important places of interest in Cairo.
