Day Trip to the Suez Canal

Itinerary

After hotel pickup, we leave Cairo heading North to Ismailía, a city established in the 19th century as an operational center for the Suez Canal's construction. Following a brief tour of Ismailia, we proceed to the banks of the Suez Canal. During a walk along the canal, we will discuss its significant history, facilitating ship passage from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea without detouring around Africa. After learning about the Suez Canal's history, we will enjoy a typical Egyptian lunch at a restaurant overlooking the canal. Finally, we return to Cairo.
