Museum's History

The project began in 1990, with construction starting in the early 2000s. As of the end of 2023, it is now possible to visit various spaces within the museum.

What's Inside the Museum?

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and head to the GEM. The 2-hour tour will cover areas of the museum already open to the public.

We'll begin by viewing the hanging obelisk dedicated to Ramesses II outside the building, followed by entry through the Grand Hall where we will see significant statues and the Grand Staircase.

Our tour will conclude in the museum's gift shop before we return to the hotels, ending the tour after approximately 3 to 4 hours.
