Pyramids of Giza, Memphis and Saqqara Itinerary

We'll pick you up from your hotel first thing in the morning, heading towards Giza, located 20 kilometers from Cairo.

Once there, we'll have three hours to enjoy iconic sights, including the Sphinx and the three largest pyramids in the country, built for the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.

At lunchtime, we will stop for a typical menu that includes grilled chicken kebabs with vegetables, hummus, tahini, and Arabic bread. Dessert consists of sweet pastries and a refreshing fruit salad.

After lunch, we'll proceed to the Saqqara necropolis, an important historical site where you can see the pyramid of Djoser, the first of Egypt's great pyramids.

In Saqqara, we will visit the tomb of vizier Mehu, recently opened to the public. This tomb is notable for its well-preserved hieroglyphs.

Our final stop will be Memphis, the old capital of Egypt, where you can view significant monuments, including the 83-ton, 11-meter tall sculpture of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphynx.

The tour concludes back at your hotel after 8 hours.

Inside the Pyramids

If you wish to enter the pyramids, you can choose between the Khafra and Menkaure pyramids for 300 EGP or the Great Pyramid for 1500 EGP. Due to time limits, it won't be possible to visit all three pyramids. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the tour in cash at ticket offices outside the complex. Inform the guide for assistance.
