Day Trip Details

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel at 8:30 am. From there, we will travel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, navigating the vibrant streets of Kandy to uncover the depth of Sri Lanka's Buddhist traditions.

The first stop is the Gadaladeniya Viharaya temple, an impressive structure constructed entirely from stone during the reign of King Bhuvanekabahu IV.

Next, we continue our exploration, passing through the scenic rice paddies toward the exquisite Lankatilaka Rajamaha Viharaya temple. Upon arrival, we will delve into this historic sacred site and gain insight into Buddhist traditions and practices.

Our final visit will be to the Embekke Devalaya temple, commissioned by King Vikramabahu III in tribute to King Mahasena. Here, we will explore its three principal sections: the Garagha shrine, the dance hall, and the drummers' hall.

The tour concludes with a return to your hotel, arriving at approximately 5:30 pm.
