Activity Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Kandy for a 2.5-hour minibus journey toMinneriya National Park.

At the entrance, we'll board a jeep for the Minneriya photograph safari around the park's wetlands, which host a diverse range of species, including crocodiles and monkeys.

After a picnic stop, we'll continue the safari to observe the famous Minneriya elephants, which can weigh up to five tonnes and often gather in small herds visible throughout the park.

The safari also aims to spot various species of Asian birds like pelicans, herons, and ibises, often found around the park's lakes alongside Ceylon buffalos, known for their peaceful nature despite their intimidating appearance.

To conclude the safari, we’ll return to the minibus and head back to our hotels in Kandy, arriving 8.5 hours later.
