Private Horton Plains and Tea Estate Day Trip

Enjoy some of Sri Lanka's most breath-taking scenery with this private day trip to the Horton Plains National Park. Along the way, you will encounter extensive tea plantations, waterfalls, and much more.

Activity Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Kandy at 7 am. From there, we will travel by private vehicle into the country's interior.

About three and a half hours later, we will arrive at Horton Plains National Park. The surrounding green landscapes will be immediately noticeable.

We will take a gentle hike through this unique place, with opportunities to see local wildlife, including the colorful Wali Kukula bird and possibly leopards.

After the hike, the guide will assist in selecting a restaurant for lunch (not included) before we continue the tour.

Next, we will move on to Nuwara Eliya, the tea industry capital of Sri Lanka. Here, we will learn about the production process of tea from plantation to home.

Finally, we'll return to Kandy, arriving between 7 pm and 9 pm, depending on traffic.
