Private Kandy Temples Day Trip

Day Trip Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am. We will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle through the streets of Kandy to explore the importance of Sri Lanka's Buddhist religion.

Our first visit is to the Gadaladeniya Viharaya temple, constructed by King Bhuvanekabahu IV completely of stone.

Next, we head through the picturesque rice fields to the Lankatilaka Rajamaha Viharaya temple. Here, we will explore this ancient site and learn about the customs and rituals of Buddhism.

Finally, we will visit the Embekke Devalaya temple, built by King Vikramabahu III to honor King Mahasena. We will tour its three main areas: the Garagha shrine, the dance hall, and the drummers' hall.

We will then return to your hotel, arriving at 5:30 pm.
