Sigiriya, Dambulla & Polonnaruwa Private 2-Day Trip

Day 1: Kandy - Dambulla- Sigiriya

At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Kandy to start this 2-day adventure visiting important historical sites in the country. First, we will visit Sri Muthumari Amman, the highest Hindu temple in Sri Lanka. Then, we will proceed to Dambulla for the Cave Temple, home to 153 statues and murals of Buddha.

We will conclude the day at Sigiriya, an archaeological site featuring ruins of an ancient palace complex built during Kasyapa's reign. Please be prepared to navigate the lion's claws to reach the top of this rock formation.

Day 2: Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Kandy

After pickup from your hotel in Sigiriya, we will travel to Polonnaruwa, the country’s former capital for over 200 years. You will explore the ruins of this ancient city including the Archaeological Museum, the Royal Palace, the audience hall, and the sacred quadrangle.

Finally, we will transport you back to your hotel in Kandy, arriving around 6 pm.
