Waimea Canyon & K?ke?e State Park Day Trip
On this tour, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kauai at the designated time. Your first stop will be the Hanapepe Valley Lookout for views of the Hanapepe Valley and photo opportunities. Next, visit Kauai Coffee, Hawaii's largest coffee plantation for a tasting, followed by a stop at the historic Hanapepe Swinging Bridge for exploration and pictures.
The trip continues to the Waimea Canyon, known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific," with multiple stops at viewpoints to take in the gorges, waterfalls, and cliffs. Afterward, ascend to Koke?e State Park where a short hike amidst Hawaii's endemic flora and birds like the ?apapane will be included.
Lunch will be served at the restaurant in the Koke?e Lodge Museum, with options of chicken, ribs, or salad, plus a drink. The next stop will be the Pu?uhinahina Lookout for another scenic view of Waimea Canyon.
You will also pass through Waimea, the former site of King Kaumuali?i, with a brief stop at the Russian Fort Elizabeth and the statue of King Kaumuali?i to learn about the island's history. The tour concludes with a visit to the Spouting Horn, a natural formation that creates a spectacular water jet, before returning to your hotel after 10 hours.
