On this excursion from Kathmandu, we'll climb aboard the Chandragiri Hills cable car to enjoy views of the Himalayas, including 5 of the 14 highest peaks in the world!

Chandragiri Cable Car

We will pick you up from your hotel in Kathmandu at the scheduled time. Our journey will take us to the renowned Chandragiri Hills cable car for panoramic views. After introductions, we’ll board a vehicle for a half-hour drive through the southwestern Thamel district to reach the cable car station, ascending to a height of 8,366 feet (2,551 meters).

As we ride, we will enjoy views of the surrounding hills and Mount Everest. The cable car windows provide an opportunity to relax and admire the snow-capped peaks. On clear days, we can see 5 of the 14 highest peaks.

At the summit, you will have an hour and a half for lunch and to visit a Hindu temple, as Chandragiri is noted for its sacredness, attracting daily pilgrimages from Hindus.

After four hours of experience, we will return to your hotel in Kathmandu.
