Chandragiri Cable Car

On this excursion from Kathmandu, we'll climb aboard the Chandragiri Hills cable car to enjoy views of the Himalayas, including 5 of the 14 highest peaks in the world.

Chandragiri Cable Car

You'll be picked up from your hotel in Kathmandu at the designated time. From there, we'll head to the Chandragiri Hills cable car for panoramic views of the Himalayas.

After introductions, we'll board a vehicle for a half-hour drive through the southwestern side of the Thamel district to the cable car station, where we'll ascend to an altitude of 8,366 feet (2,551 meters).

During the ride, you can admire the surrounding hills and Mount Everest. The cable car windows allow for great views of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. On clear days, you may see 5 of the 14 highest peaks.

Once at the top, you'll have an hour and a half for lunch and to visit a Hindu temple. Chandragiri is known for its sacredness, attracting Hindu pilgrims daily.

After four hours of views of the Himalayas, we'll conclude with a return to your hotel in Kathmandu.
