Guided Tour of Kathmandu
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel to start this guided tour of Kathmandu.
First, we'll visit the Ason Market, where we'll see stores run by the Newari community, temples, and shrines.
Then we'll go to Durbar Square, where we'll observe the Kumari, the living goddesses of Nepal, considered reincarnations of the goddess Taleju until adolescence.
The tour will then stop at the Nine Floors Palace and cross the suspension bridge over the Bishnumati River.
Next, we'll walk uphill to the Swyambhunath or Monkey Temple, where we will see numerous monkeys. From this hilltop, we'll enjoy views of the Himalayas and the Kathmandu Valley.
After visiting the temple, we'll follow a path to the sacred site for cremation rituals along the river.
Finally, we'll conclude the tour at a central point.
