This guided tour of Kathmandu is designed to explore the main attractions of the Nepalese capital, including the Monkey Temple and Durbar Square.
Guided Tour of Kathmandu
At the designated time, pickup will be at your hotel to commence the guided tour of Kathmandu.
The first stop will be Ason Market, where visitors can explore stores operated by the Newari community, as well as various temples and shrines.
Next, the tour will proceed to Durbar Square, featuring additional temples and the opportunity to view the Kumari, the living goddesses of Nepal, considered reincarnations of the goddess Taleju until puberty.
The journey will continue to the Nine Floors Palace and cross the suspension bridge over the Bishnumati River.
Following this, participants will hike to Swyambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, home to numerous monkeys. The site offers scenic views of the Himalayas and the Kathmandu Valley.
After visiting the temple, the group will proceed to a sacred site where cremation rituals are conducted by the riverbank.
The tour will conclude with farewells at a central location.
