During the booking process, you'll be able to choose between the private tour to Nagarkot you'd prefer from the following options:

4-Hour Tour

It may be painful getting up at 4:30 am in Kathmandu, but the early rise will be well worth it, as this is the perfect time to embark on a journey that will captivate you forever...

After being picked up from your hotel, you'll head towards the east of Nepal. Following a 28 km (17 miles) journey, you'll arrive in Nagarkot, a small village in the Bhaktapur District, located over 2000 m (6561 feet) above sea level.

Here, you'll enjoy views over what is considered one of the area's most picturesque locations. Nagarkot is stunning at any time of day, but observing the rural valley with its Himalayan mountain backdrop lit by a spectacular sunrise is a magical image that will remain in your memory.

As the sun's rays begin to illuminate Nepal, the tallest peaks of the Himalayan mountain range will become visible. You'll spot Annapurnas, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa and of course Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain, standing at 29,029 feet (8848 meters). In the valley, you'll also be able to see the Tibetan-bordering region of Langtang and the area's vast green rice terraces.

After 4 hours together, you'll return back to Kathmandu.

6-Hour Tour

At the scheduled time, you'll be collected from your hotel in Kathmandu and follow the same itinerary as the above tour. After admiring the views of the Himalayas at Nagarkot, the tour continues to the Buddha Peace Park.

There, you'll find a small statue of Buddha in a garden adorned with decorations and plants. Next, you'll head towards the Changunarayan Temple, one of the oldest temples in the country, dating back to the Licchavi period in Nepal's history. The temple features beautiful stone and wood carvings designed in a traditional Nepalese style, located atop a hill. It's a perfect photo opportunity!

After 6 hours, you'll make your return journey back to Kathmandu.
