Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour

At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Katowice. We will drive for approximately 1 hour to reach Auschwitz-Birkenau, the site of significant historical atrocities.

The site consists of several camps. We will start by visiting Auschwitz I, originally established for political prisoners and later expanded to include Jews, homosexuals, Romani people, and the intelligentsia. At the camp entrance, we will observe the inscription "Arbeit macht frei". The tour will include viewing the cramped cells where prisoners lived and their forced labor areas.

Next, we will proceed to Auschwitz II-Birkenau, known for its role as an extermination camp. This part of the tour will include the remains of the crematoriums and gas chambers, which were dismantled by German troops to conceal their crimes.

The tour concludes back in Katowice at 3 pm.
