In November 1946, Harry S. Truman visited Key West and became captivated by a manor house with a white façade. Known as the Little White House, it became Truman's preferred place to rest.
The Little White House holds significance in U.S. history. Built in 1890 as the headquarters of the Naval Base, it also hosted Thomas Edison in 1918 during his work on new war machines.
