At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Golden Coffee Roastery cafe where we'll kick off our workshop and learn how to basketweave. In the heart of the Rwandan capital, local craftswomen will guide us in the traditional art of basket weaving. Alongside experienced teachers, we'll learn the meaning behind each design.

We'll begin by listening to personal stories highlighting the cultural importance of weaving in Rwanda. With materials and tools provided, we'll learn the delicate art of Rwandan basket weaving.

As you shape the baskets, you'll connect with the vibrant rhythm of a craft that has been passed down through generations. Each color and pattern will link you to the community and its legacy.

After 2 hours of weaving, you'll take home a basket, along with a piece of the history and spirit of Rwanda.
