Oatman Village & Route 66 Museum Experience
The tour begins with a hotel pickup at the scheduled time, followed by a visit to the Kingman visitor centre, a historic museum on Route 66. Guests will explore the history of Route 66 through old photographs, sculptures, and vehicles.
After the visitor center, we will board a minibus to the Cool Springs gas station, located 30 minutes away. Established in the 1920s, this stop is essential for travelers on the highway. From there, we will drive along the winding Sitgreaves Pass in the Black Mountains.
As we ascend to over 1000 meters, participants will enjoy panoramic views of the borders between Nevada, California, and Arizona. After approximately 15 minutes, we will arrive at Oatman, a former mining town that has transitioned to a ghost town. The tour includes an exploration of its history, encounters with the local donkeys, and one hour of free time to interact with cowboys and explore the area.
The tour concludes with a return to the starting point after a total of 4.5 hours of exploration.
