Skeleton Gorge Hiking Tour from Cape Town

Description

We'll meet at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens at the designated time to start the hike through Table Mountain National Park.

Initially, we'll explore the Kirstenbosch Garden and its collection of unique fynbos plants native to South Africa. This serves as a warm-up before we commence our hike.

We will follow a path between waterfalls and trees leading to the gorge, starting the real adventure. Our route covers approximately 6.5 kilometers (4 miles) through the Skeleton Gorge. This is an easy level hike, but we will encounter short steep sections and navigate a rocky stream bed.

As we progress through the gorge, expect to witness stunning waterfalls and lush landscapes. The hike concludes at the top of the plateau, where we will descend a set of stairs that lead to sandy beaches.

After a three-hour journey, we will loop back to our starting point, wrapping up this excursion.
