Skeleton Gorge Hiking Tour from Cape Town

Get ready for an epic adventure on Table Mountain, the iconic symbol of Cape Town! Our hiking route will take us through the renowned Skeleton Gorge.

Description

We'll meet at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens at the designated time to begin the hike through Table Mountain National Park.

First, we'll explore the Kirstenbosch Garden and its unique fynbos plants native to South Africa before hitting the trail.

The hike will take a path between waterfalls and trees leading to the gorge, covering about 6.5 kilometers (4 miles). This is an easy level hike, with short steep sections and a rocky stream bed to navigate. We will share the story behind the name Skeleton Gorge.

As we trek through the gorge, enjoy the stunning waterfalls and lush landscapes. The journey culminates at the top of the plateau, where we will descend a set of stairs leading to sandy beaches.

After a three-hour trek, we will loop back to our starting point, concluding this excursion.
