Excursion to the Curonian Spit
At 9.30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Klaip?da and drive you to the Curonian Spit National Park. To get there, we'll take a ferry and travel to the Lithuanian Sahara.
Once we arrive at this Unesco-protected cultural heritage site, we'll discover the Curonian Isthmus, bordered by Lake Curland and the Baltic Sea. First, we'll explore Juodkrant?, known for the Curland dunes.
Next, we'll visit the Hill of the Witches, featuring numerous wooden sculptures of witches, demons, and dragons.
We will continue to the town of Nida, where we will learn about its fishing tradition while exploring its streets.
Our next stop is the Parnidis Dune, where we will climb to the top for a view of its extensive landscape.
Finally, we'll visit the Museum of Thomas Mann, showcasing the writer's fascination with the lagoon and local architecture.
We will conclude the tour by returning to your hotel in Klaip?da at 3.30 pm.
