Excursion to the Curonian Spit
At 9.30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Klaip?da and drive you to the Curonian Spit National Park. We will take a ferry to reach the Lithuanian Sahara.
Upon arriving at this UNESCO-protected cultural heritage site, we will explore the Curonian Isthmus, bordered by Lake Curland to the east and the Baltic Sea to the west. Our first stop will be Juodkrant?, known for its beautiful Curland dunes.
Next, we will visit the Hill of the Witches, featuring wooden sculptures of witches, demons, and dragons, where we will learn about their significance.
We will then go to Nida, a town known for its huts, wood carvings, and old fishing boats. Here, we will learn about the town's fishing tradition.
From Nida, we will visit the Parnidis Dune, one of the main attractions where we can climb to the top for a view.
Finally, we will stop at the Museum of Thomas Mann, which showcases the writer's connection to the lagoon and local architecture.
We will conclude the tour by returning to your hotel in Klaip?da at 3.30 pm.
