Embark on a one-of-a-kind adventure in the Indian Ocean and immerse yourself in the stunning sights of the Knysna coastline during this dolphin-watching excursion. Experience the charm of these remarkable creatures!

Description

Around the designated time, we will gather at Thesen Harbour Town. Here, you will receive your lifejackets along with a brief orientation regarding the activity ahead. Following this, we will proceed on foot to the Knysna harbour, where we will embark on a boat to start this extraordinary journey of dolphin discovery.

Our route will take us along the Knysna estuary until we reach the majestic Knysna Heads cliffs, two notable rock formations that dominate the landscape. Upon arrival, we will venture into the expansive Indian Ocean.

As we navigate the waters, we will have the opportunity to observe three different dolphin species: the bottlenose, the common dolphin, and the humpback dolphin. Spotting the latter will be particularly significant as it is classified as an endangered species. In addition to these intelligent mammals, we may also encounter Cape seals, African penguins, and possibly even sharks.

Alongside the dolphin viewing segment of this tour, we will be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Garden Route, renowned as one of South Africa’s most picturesque highways. This outing promises to deliver unforgettable scenic experiences!

After an hour and a half on the water, we will return to our original meeting point, concluding this remarkable adventure.
