Christiansborg Palace Guided Tour Itinerary
Meet your guide at the main entrance to Christiansborg Palace, located on Slotsholmen, an islet in Copenhagen's harbour. Your expert English-speaking guide will explain the current use of Christiansborg, the seat of the Folketing, Denmark's Parliament. After learning about the unicameral political system, you'll embark on a guided tour of the palace's royal chambers, admiring the Baroque and Neo-Baroque interior decoration.
Discover the extensive collection of Gobelin tapestries in the Great Hall of Christiansborg, which portray events from Denmark's history in detail. The guided tour will last approximately an hour and a half, ending back at the original start point.
Christiansborg Tower
At the end of your tour, you'll have the opportunity to climb to the Christiansborg Observation Deck, the tallest tower in Copenhagen, offering panoramic views over the city. The tower is open from 11 am until 9 pm, and access is free.
