Rosenborg Castle Guided Tour Itinerary
Meet your English-speaking guide at the archway marking the main entrance to Rosenborg Castle. Begin your guided visit exploring the beautiful gardens and learning about Danish King Christian IV, who commissioned the castle in the 17th century. The tour includes a stroll through the historic site showcasing vibrant tulips and roses around the lake.
Inside, visit the palatial chambers, admiring the detailed decoration and artworks that belonged to royalty, including silver furniture and tapestries representing Danish victories. Additionally, explore the Schatzkammer, or Treasure Chamber, where the Danish Crown Jewels and Crown Regalia are displayed, including crowns and tiaras from the 15th to 19th centuries. Some pieces are worn by the current queen, Margrethe II.
Your guided tour concludes at the archway where you began.
