Rosenborg Castle Guided Tour Itinerary
Meet your English-speaking guide at the main entrance archway of Rosenborg Castle, a palace in the historic centre of Copenhagen. Begin your guided visit exploring the beautiful gardens surrounding the castle, known for their vibrant tulips and roses. The castle was constructed in the early 17th century under Danish King Christian IV, and you will learn about this monarch's architectural projects and conquests during the tour.
Inside, visit the palatial chambers, where you can observe the detailed decoration and art pieces, including silver furniture and tapestries depicting Danish war victories. The tour also includes the Schatzkammer or Treasure Chamber, which houses the Danish Crown Jewels and Crown Regalia, comprising crowns, sceptres, tiaras, and other jewelry from the 15th to 19th centuries. Some pieces are still worn by the current queen of Denmark, Margrethe II.
Your guided tour of Rosenborg Castle will conclude at the original meeting point.
