Rosenborg Castle Guided Tour Itinerary

Meet your English-speaking guide at the main entrance to Rosenborg Castle, located in the historic center of Copenhagen. Begin your visit by exploring the beautiful gardens filled with tulips and roses around the lake. Construction of the castle commenced in the 17th century under King Christian IV. The tour includes interesting facts about the monarch known for his architectural projects and conquests.

Inside, visit the palatial chambers, observing the decorative details of the halls and bedrooms reflecting past fashions. View art pieces owned by the royals, including silver furniture and tapestries depicting Danish victories.

Explore the Schatzkammer, or Treasure Chamber, home to the Danish Crown Jewels and Crown Regalia. This collection includes crowns, sceptres, and necklaces from the 15th to 19th centuries, with some pieces still worn by Queen Margrethe II. The tour concludes at the original meeting point.

Important information

This guided tour does not include entrance to Rosenborg Castle. The ticket price is 110 DKK per person (approximately 15 EUR); children under 17 enter for free. If you have the Copenhagen Card, entrance is included.
