Rosenborg Castle Guided Tour Itinerary

Meet your English-speaking guide at the archway marking the main entrance to Rosenborg Castle. Begin your visit by exploring the beautiful gardens surrounding the fortress, which were constructed at the start of the 17th century under King Christian IV. Learn about the monarch’s architectural legacy and his historical significance.

Inside Rosenborg Castle, visit the palatial chambers showcasing detailed decorations and art from the royals and nobility, including silver furniture and tapestries depicting Danish war victories.

Your guide will take you to the Schatzkammer, or Treasure Chamber, where the Danish Crown Jewels and Crown Regalia are displayed. The collection includes crowns, sceptres, tiaras, and necklaces from the 15th to the 19th centuries, with some pieces still worn by Queen Margrethe II. The tour concludes at the original meeting point at the archway.

Important information

This guided tour does not include entrance to Rosenborg Castle. The ticket costs 110 DKK per person (approximately 15 EUR), with free entry for children under 17. Advance booking is recommended due to limited availability. If you have the Copenhagen Card, entrance to Rosenborg Castle is included.
