Nearby is Kastellet, or "The Citadel", a well-preserved star-shaped fortress. Inside, view the windmill that was used to grind flour during sieges.

Optionally, you can visit the 17th-century Rosenborg Castle or the Christiansborg Palace, which houses the Danish parliament.
