Roskilde Day Trip Details
Meet your English-speaking guide at Copenhagen Central Station in the morning of your tour. From here, you'll catch the train to Roskilde, arriving after approximately 25 minutes.
Enjoy a guided walking tour of this historic city, admiring the architecture of its Gothic Cathedral, built during the 12th and 13th centuries and recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This church is the final resting place of 39 Danish monarchs, and your guide will reveal facts about the history of the famous royals.
Continue your tour to the Viking Ship Museum, located at the harbour of the Roskilde Fjord. Here, you'll see the longest Viking warship in the world, which had a capacity for up to 100 warriors, and the Skuldelev ships, five original Viking boats sunk almost 1000 years ago.
After visiting the museum, you'll return to Roskilde station to take the train back to Copenhagen, arriving about 4 hours later.

Instead of returning with your tour group around 1 pm, you can spend the rest of your day in Roskilde. You can enjoy lunch, visit the Cathedral, or take a Viking boat trip on the Fjord. If you stay, please check the train times for your return journey to Copenhagen.
