Tlos & Saklikent Gorge Exploration

Your adventure begins at 8:30 am when we collect you from your accommodation in Dalyan, setting off on a scenic drive towards the town of Tlos.

Upon arriving in Tlos, our guided exploration of this historic Lycian stronghold will commence. It's fascinating to note that this site ranks among the key settlements in the region. As we stroll through the ancient remnants, you will uncover various intriguing historical insights. From the acropolis to the Byzantine fortifications, the theater, the baths, and the fortress, you will feel as though you have stepped back in time!

Following our exploration, we will pause for a well-deserved break at a local dining spot, savoring a traditional meal representative of the area.

Once we are reenergized, our journey will take us to the Saklikent Gorge, recognized as the second largest gorge in Europe. Stretching over 18 km (11 miles) in length and plunging to a depth of 300 meters (985 feet), its scale is truly remarkable. As we hike through the gorge, be ready to gaze upon the mesmerizing crystal-clear waters cascading between the towering cliffs – an unforgettable spectacle!

Before we make our way back to Dalyan, we will visit a charming village known for its traditional Turkish carpet weaving.

We anticipate returning to your hotel by approximately 5:30 pm.
