Husky Sleigh Ride

Enjoy a 5-kilometer ride on a sleigh pulled by husky dogs through the forests of Äkäslompolo, an unforgettable journey through an incredible landscape!

Husky Sleigh Ride

At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Äkäslompolo and head over to a husky kennel, where we'll meet our companions for the day. After greeting these animals, we'll hop on board a sleigh for a special route through the forest. During the five-kilometer ride, we'll explore Äkäslompolo while admiring the wintry landscapes of Lapland.

The sled will be shared between two adults who will alternate roles: one will drive while the other is seated, then they will switch. Along the way, we'll learn about huskies, dogs typical of Nordic countries known for their adaptation to low temperatures. You'll discover the care they receive daily.

After a half-hour route, we'll return to the kennel, where we'll enjoy a hot drink next to a cozy campfire. The activity will conclude as we drop you back off at your hotel after approximately 2.5 hours.
