Private Borneo Cruise and Orangutan Sighting

Cruise Details

Day 1

We will meet at Iskandar airport in the morning and proceed to Kumai. We will board our klotok, a traditional wooden Indonesian boat, our floating house for the cruise. We will drift down the Sekonyer river to the Tanjung Harapan rehabilitation center for Orangutans, observing wildlife such as proboscis monkeys, macaques, and exotic birds. At the reserve, you will see orangutans in their habitat while respecting their space. After sunset, we will enjoy a candlelight meal as we glide along the river to the sounds of the jungle.

Day 2

We will wake at dawn, have breakfast, and visit the camp at Pondok Tanggui to observe affectionate orangutans. Afterward, we will head to Leakey camp with a two-hour journey, enjoying a meal aboard. At Camp Leakey, you can choose between hiking in the jungle or visiting the information center. We will also visit the Nipa Palm area, known as the house of fireflies, although sighting them is not guaranteed. The day will end with a night trek to look for orangutans.

Day 3

We will have breakfast aboard the boat and travel along the river to Kumai, where an air-conditioned vehicle will take us to Pangkalan Ban airport for a 9:30 am departure.

Tour Accommodation

Accommodation will be on a traditional klotok, around 50 feet long, equipped with mattresses, cushions, a mosquito net, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The tour includes service from a professional crew, including a captain, chef, and English-speaking guide.

What Do I Need for This Tour?

You need a return flight to Pangkalan Bun Iskandar Airport, arriving on the day of your tour before 12 midday, and returning three days later.
