SSI Open Water Diver Course

Day 1: Confined waters

The SSI Open Water Diver Course begins at 10 am at the dive centre. You will practice basic SSI Open Water Diving techniques at the beach for two hours, applying the theory studied at home. After a two-hour lunch break (not included), you will reconvene at 2 pm for a two-hour dive in confined waters, concluding the day at 6 pm back at the meeting point.

Day 2: Scuba diving

On the second day, choose to meet at 7:20 am or 1:20 pm at the dive centre. Equip yourself and dive around Koh Phi Phi Le for one hour, then surface for a brief break before diving again for another hour to observe tropical fish. After approximately four and a half hours, you can take the test to qualify for your SSI Open Water certificate, finishing back at the original meeting point.

Day 3: Scuba diving

The third day features two one-hour dives in the waters of Koh Phi Phi Lee, with a choice of starting times during booking.

After reservation, you will receive a dossier on theory of scuba diving to study at home and bring on the first day.

Who can participate in this activity?

A swimming test of 200 metres freestyle without time limit is required on the first day.
