SSI Open Water Diver Course

Day 1: Confined waters

The SSI Open Water Diver Course allows travelers to learn scuba diving in the Andaman Sea. The first day starts at 10 am at the dive centre, where you'll spend two hours learning basic diving techniques. After a two-hour break for lunch (not included), you'll return at 2 pm for two hours of diving in confined waters, ending at 6 pm.

Day 2: Scuba diving

On the second day, meet at the dive centre at either 7:20 am or 1:20 pm. You will gear up and dive around Koh Phi Phi Le within the Phi Phi Islands National Park. After one hour of diving, you'll take a short break, then dive again for another hour. This day includes a test to qualify for your SSI Open Water certificate, concluding back at the original meeting point.

Day 3: Scuba diving

On the third day, you'll dive in the waters of Koh Phi Phi Lee for two one-hour dives, with a choice of starting time during booking.

Scuba diving theory

After booking, you'll receive a dossier with scuba diving theory to study at home and bring on the first day.

Who can participate in this activity?

Participants must pass a swimming test: 200 meters freestyle with no time limit on the first day.

Dive sites may change based on weather conditions or group needs.

Participants must sign a medical form at the diving centre.
