SSI Open Water Diver Course

Day 1: Confined waters

The SSI Open Water Diver Course is ideal for those learning to scuba dive in the Andaman Sea. On Day 1, we meet at 10 am at the dive centre to apply the theory studied previously. We spend two hours practising basic diving techniques at the beach, take a two-hour break for lunch (not included), then reconvene at 2 pm for a two-hour dive in confined waters. This day concludes at 6 pm at the original meeting point.

Day 2: Scuba diving

On Day 2, meet at the dive centre at either 7:20 am or 1:20 am, based on your choice. We will equip ourselves and dive in the waters around Koh Phi Phi Le, part of the Phi Phi Islands National Park. The schedule includes one hour of diving around coral reefs, a short break, and a second hour of diving to view tropical fish. After approximately four and a half hours, you will take a test for the SSI Open Water certificate, concluding at the original meeting point.

Day 3: Scuba diving

On Day 3, we will conduct two one-hour dives in Koh Phi Phi Lee. You will choose your starting time during the booking process.

Scuba diving theory

After your reservation, a dossier with theory of scuba diving will be sent to you. This must be studied at home and brought on Day 1.

Who can participate in this activity?

Participants must pass a swimming test of 200 metres freestyle with no time limit on Day 1.
