Cz?stochowa Black Madonna Half Day Trip Itinerary
Depart from Kraków city center in the morning on a comfortable minibus, traveling 140km (87 miles) to Cz?stochowa in Silesia Province.
Cz?stochowa is an industrial town known for the Jasna Góra Monastery, founded by Pauline monks in 1382. The monastery is a significant pilgrimage site as it houses a notable painting of the Virgin Mary and Christ Child.
In the seventeenth century, the monastery gained fame when 300 men defended it against a siege of 12,000 Swedish soldiers, considered the first miracle of the Black Madonna.
Today, this relic is the most revered in Poland and a national symbol. The coach will return you to Kraków by around 3pm.
