Ojców National Park Excursion
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Krakow at 9 am and head north to visit the Ojców National Park. The minibus ride will take approximately 30 minutes.
During the excursion, we'll travel through the Ojców National Park, making different stops at various points of interest. We'll see its extensive valleys and examine the flora and fauna of this natural habitat, which is home to over 130 species of birds, as well as stoats and beavers.
We'll visit the ruins of Ojców Castle, a Gothic fortress built in the 14th century by order of King Casimir III the Great. You'll learn about its role in the area's defense and its importance as a stronghold during the Middle Ages. The site offers views of the Pradnik River.
Next, we'll see the Cudgel of Hercules, a stone column nearly 25 metres high and one of the park's symbols.
We will also visit Pieskowa Skala Castle, a Renaissance building situated on a limestone massif, where we will explore its gardens and view the exhibition of the National Art Collection of Krakow.
Lastly, we'll visit the Chapel on the Water, a small wooden parish church. We'll conclude the excursion by dropping you off back at your hotel at 3 pm.
