On this guided tour of the P?aszów Concentration Camp, we'll uncover the history that influenced key scenes in Schindler's List. The site reflects the horrors of the Holocaust and the actions of Commandant Amon Göth.
Tour Details
We'll meet next to the Apteka Pod Or?em museum at Heroes' Square. From this starting point, we'll explore the history of the P?aszów Concentration Camp.
Our tour will begin at the Ghetto Memorial and the Eagle Pharmacy, symbols of resistance during the Nazi occupation. We will also visit Lwowska Street, where remnants of the ghetto wall remain.
Next, we'll take a tram for two stops to the P?aszów Concentration Camp. There, we will walk along Jerozolimska Street to see the camp's railway station, warehouses, officers' clubhouse, administrative offices, and barracks. We will view the ruins of the Jewish pre-burial hall.
We will stop at the "Grey House", associated with torture, and then pass the villa of Amon Göth, the camp commandant.
The tour includes the former Jewish cemetery, the camp's roll-call square, and sites like H-Hill and C-Pit, the latter featuring the Torn Hearts monument in memory of camp victims.
Before concluding in the Kamie?skiego area after 2 hours of sightseeing, we'll pass the site of the second entrance gate to the camp.
Transport Info
Travel will be by tram from Kraków to P?aszów and back by public bus. Ticket prices total approximately 4PLN.
