Join us on the guided tour of Wawel Hill, an important historical site in Poland. This area is significant as the former seat of Polish royalty and is rich in monuments.
Tour Details
We will meet at the renowned Kanonicza street, where a major historical treasure was discovered. The tour begins with a walk up this charming cobblestone street towards Wawel Hill.
Upon arrival, we will visit two key historical buildings of Krakow: the cathedral and the castle of Wawel. A local guide will provide insights into notable Polish historical facts and intriguing royal secrets.
Throughout the tour, we will explore stories such as the alchemical experiments by Sigismund III Vasa, the resulting fire of Wawel Castle, and its aftermath. Additionally, we will see the site where the only bomb dropped on Wawel during World War II landed, alongside the famous Wawel Hill dragon, which offers a beautiful panoramic view of southern Krakow.
The exploration will conclude after an hour and a half of learning about Polish history.
