Description
After meeting at St. Mary's Basilica in the center of Krakow at the indicated time, we'll begin our World War II history tour of the Polish city.
We will explore the Nazi occupation of Krakow and its impact on the city and its inhabitants. Our journey will take us through important monuments, starting with Florianska Street to Market Square, which played a significant role during this period, even being named after Adolf Hitler during the Nazi occupation.
During the tour, we will visit key buildings from the Nazi regime, including the location of the Ordnungspolizei and sites where the Armia Krajowa, the Polish resistance, operated.
We will proceed to the Collegium Novum, where we will discuss a dark episode of the Second World War in Krakow. Additionally, we will stop at one of the Gestapo prisons and view the Katyn Cross, a symbol of Polish suffering.
The World War II tour of Krakow concludes 2 hours after the meeting time at the Grunwald Monument.
