Zakopane Excursion + Treetop Walk Bachledka

On this excursion, we'll cross the border into Slovakia for a hiking tour through the Treetop Walk Bachledka and visit the Polish town of Zakopane.

Zakopane Excursion + Treetop Walk Bachledka

At 8 am, hotel pickup in Krakow will be followed by a two and a half hour minibus ride to the village of Ždiar.

Upon arrival, we'll embark on a 40-minute hiking route leading to the Treetop Walk Bachledka. This wooden platform, standing approximately 60-80 feet (18-24 meters) high, offers a unique perspective of the Bachledka Valley from above the treetops.

As we walk along this elevated path, we'll take in views of the Slovakian forests, Tatra Mountains, and Pieniny National Park. In winter, the landscape covered in snow creates a breathtaking scene.

We will descend from the Treetop Walk Bachledka by slide or on foot, depending on your preference, and return to the minibus. We will then cross back into Poland to explore the city of Zakopane.

Zakopane, known as the winter capital of Poland, is popular for various skiing options in the colder months. You'll have two and a half hours of free time to explore this town.

Activities include taking a ride on a horse-drawn carriage, shopping for handicrafts on Krupowki Street, tasting local cuisine, and viewing beautiful wooden houses.

After free time, we will regroup and conclude the tour at 8 pm, dropping you off at your hotel.
