Bear Watching in the Romanian Carpathians
At the agreed time, pickup will be at the George Bari?iu Library for a drive to Transylvania. The tour includes a brief introduction to safety rules and information about the animals in the area, which is home to approximately 5,000 wild Carpathian brown bears.
As we arrive at the forested area, you'll have the opportunity to observe bears from a special viewpoint. A ranger will provide insights into the bears' behaviors and habitat. There is an estimated 80% chance of seeing a brown bear, including males among the trees or females with cubs.
You may also see other wildlife, such as wild boars, roe deer, red deer, and game birds.
The activity lasts about 4 hours, concluding with a drop-off back at the meeting point in Brasov.
Departure time
