Hiking in Ciocanu

At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the Brasov County History Museum to start this hiking tour in Ciocanu. We'll go on a 1-hour drive to Ciocanu, a Transylvanian village surrounded by nature and high mountains. During the journey, we will enjoy views of the Bucegi Natural Park, Piatra Craiului National Park, and the Postavaru Massif.

Upon arrival, we'll embark on a 2-hour hike in the Piatra Craiului Mountains, exploring the border between the former Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Romania. The hike covers 6.2-7.5 miles (10-12 km), during which we will observe the local wildlife and share legends and curiosities about the area.

After the hike, a well-deserved lunch will be served in a cozy house featuring homemade cheeses, sausages, homegrown vegetables, preserves, and homemade pickles.

Finally, after 4 hours of experience, we will return to the meeting point in Brasov.
