Hiking in Ciocanu

We'll meet in front of the Brasov County History Museum to start this hiking tour in Ciocanu. We'll drive for 1 hour to Ciocanu, a Transylvanian village surrounded by nature and high mountains, with views of the Bucegi Natural Park, Piatra Craiului National Park, and Postavaru Massif.

Upon arrival, we'll begin a 2-hour hike in the Piatra Craiului Mountains, located on the border between the former Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Romania. During our walk, we'll see the unique natural scenery and various cattle and sheep on local farms. This 6.2-7.5 mile (10-12 km) trek will include stories and legends of the region.

After the hike, we will have lunch in a cozy house, featuring homemade cheeses, sausages, homegrown vegetables, preserves, and homemade pickles.

After this 4-hour experience, we'll return to the meeting point in Brasov.
