Batu Caves Day Trip
Pickup will occur at your hotel in Kuala Lumpur at the scheduled time. The trip begins with a visit to a pewter workshop, where you can see the largest pewter beer jug in the world. Following this, we will visit a local factory of Batik fabrics, a prominent craft industry in the region.
The tour will then proceed to the Batu Caves, where we will spend one hour. Here, you will encounter a series of grottoes and caverns above a sacred hill, recognized as the most notable Hindu sanctuary in Asia outside of India.
To access the interior of the caves, you must climb 272 steps. The effort is rewarded with stunning sculptures of Hindu gods and goddesses lining the caves. As we descend, we will discuss the great Murugan golden statue, a 42-metre high sculpture with a remarkable history.
The guided tour of the Batu Caves concludes with our return to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur, completing this 3.5-hour excursion.
Important Info
The ascent of the 272 steps to the Batu Caves is not recommended for those with poor physical condition or who become easily breathless.
