Maui Island Tour
We will pick you up at your hotel to start this tour of Maui, the second largest island of the Hawaiian archipelago.
Our first stop is Haleakala National Park in the south of the island, home to the dormant volcano of the same name, a sacred site for the peoples of Polynesia. Haleakala features around 1,000 different species of plants, including the famous silversword plant. A scenic drive will lead us to the Haleakala Visitor Center.
After visiting the center to learn about the park's climatic and topographical features, we will proceed to central Maui, passing through agricultural towns such as Kula and Makawao. Makawao, located at the base of the West Maui volcano, has a rich history.
Next, we'll stop at the Hali’imaile General Store for a lunch of local flavors, followed by a guided tour of the Hali’imaile distillery. Guests under 21 years old will have to wait outside during this visit.
Our final destination is Iao Valley, west of Maui, known for its lush rainforest. This historical site, where Hawaiian royalty was buried, features the iconic Iao Needle peak covered in dense vegetation.
The tour concludes with your return to the hotel, approximately 9 hours and 15 minutes after pickup.
