Maui Island Exploration

Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup at the scheduled time, setting the stage for an immersive exploration of Maui, the second largest of the Hawaiian islands.

Our initial stop brings us to Haleakala National Park, situated in the southern region, home to the awe-inspiring dormant volcano of the same name, revered as a sacred site by Polynesian cultures.

This park boasts around 1,000 diverse plant species, showcasing some unique to this Pacific locale. Among the most notable is the striking silversword plant. We'll navigate through sweeping landscapes as we make our way to the Haleakala Visitor Center, where the views will undoubtedly captivate you!

Following our visit to the center, where we’ll delve into the unique climatic and geological features of the region, we will proceed towards central Maui, traversing through quaint agricultural towns like Kula and Makawao, the latter once a bustling hub at the foot of the West Maui volcano.

Next, we will enjoy a delightful lunch at the Hali’imaile General Store, featuring dishes that highlight local cuisine. This will be complemented by a guided tour of the Hali’imaile distillery. Please note that participants under 21 years must remain outside during the tour.

As we continue our journey, we will arrive at the lush Iao Valley, located to the west of Maui, known for its verdant rainforest. This historic site was a resting place for Hawaiian royalty and witnessed legendary battles. Here, we will admire the iconic Iao Needle, a formidable peak shrouded in lush greenery.

Your day culminates as we transport you back to your hotel, concluding our tour approximately 9 hours and 15 minutes after the initial pickup.
