Hiking in the Banhoek Valley + Winery Visit

Join us for a hiking tour through the Banhoek Valley, culminating with a visit to a local winery. The tour begins at 1 Rooi Street, where we will set off to explore the natural beauty of Stellenbosch.

The hiking route covers 9 kilometers (5.5 miles) and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Participants will learn about the environmental conservation efforts undertaken by the Banhoek Conservancy project, aimed at supporting community development and ecological balance.

Wildlife enthusiasts might spot local species such as bontebokkes and elands during the hike. After the exploration, we will visit the Oldenburg Vineyards for an informative session on South African wine.

The day concludes with a wine tasting paired with cheese, providing a refined finishing touch to the tour. Participants will be returned by minibus to the starting point, completing the excursion after a total of four hours.
