Hiking in the Banhoek Valley + Winery Visit

Join a hiking tour in the Banhoek Valley that combines nature and wine tourism. The tour begins at 1 Rooi Street, where participants will start the 9-kilometer (5.5 miles) hike through the Stellenbosch natural area, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

This hiking route emphasizes environmental conservation efforts by the Banhoek Conservancy project, aimed at enhancing community well-being and restoring ecological balance. Participants may also spot local wildlife, such as bontebok and elands, during the hike.

Following the hiking tour, a visit will be made to Oldenburg Vineyards in Banhoek, where participants will learn about South African wine production. The day concludes with a wine tasting paired with cheese, providing a refined culinary experience.

After the activities, a minibus will transport participants back to the starting point, concluding the excursion after four hours.
