Lobos Island Hike
Thousands of tourists visit the Canary Islands annually, yet few explore the small uninhabited islets. Gather at the port of Corralejo at the specified time to embark on this adventure.
A ferry ride of 20 minutes will take us to the dock of Lobos Island. This small islet in the strait of La Bocayna offers picturesque natural scenery.
Upon disembarkation, we will visit the Visitor Centre to collect walking poles before commencing a guided hiking route around the island. The hike will include a stop at La Concha, a white sandy beach, where we will view the semicircular bay and the nearby Roman archaeological site, an ancient settlement linked to the production of purple dye.
The trek continues towards La Caldera, passing by Salinas de Marrajo, and culminating at the summit of 127 metres, offering panoramic views of Lobos Island and Corralejo Dunes.
Next, the descent leads us to Martiño Lighthouse and Las Lagunitas, characterized by volcanic rocks and unique reddish plantations. Our final stop will be at El Puertito, where we'll enjoy a paella lunch with a drink. Following this, we will return to Fuerteventura, concluding the tour approximately 6 to 7 hours after departure.
