Lobos Island Hike
Many tourists visit the Canary Islands, yet few explore the small uninhabited islets. We will meet at the port of Corralejo at the designated time to embark on our journey.
A ferry will take us to the dock of Lobos Island in approximately 20 minutes. This small islet sits in the strait of La Bocayna, showcasing beautiful natural scenery.
Upon arrival, we will proceed to the Visitor Centre to collect walking poles. After equipping ourselves, a guided hiking route around Lobos Island will commence, leading us to La Concha, a white sandy beach. Here, we will observe the semicircular bay and a nearby Roman archaeological site linked to the purple dye production of ancient civilization.
Our hike will continue towards volcano La Caldera, passing the Salinas de Marrajo. The summit, at an altitude of 127 meters, offers panoramic views of Lobos and the Corralejo Dunes.
Following the descent, we will visit Martiño Lighthouse and Las Lagunitas, characterized by volcanic rocks and distinctive reddish plantations. Our last stop will be El Puertito, where we'll enjoy a paella lunch with a drink. We will then return to Fuerteventura, concluding the experience 6 - 7 hours later at the initial meeting point.
