La Paz Food Tour
We'll meet in the Plaza San Francisco square at 6.30 pm to set off on an evening tour and discover the flavours of Bolivia!
Our first stop will be the Mercado Lanza, where locals buy fresh produce and tropical fruits. Here, we'll try a vitamin juice and api con pastel, a traditional drink accompanied by a pie!
Next, we'll visit popular local restaurants in La Paz to try traditional snacks and dishes. As we tour the historic centre, we'll learn about Bolivian cuisine and local recipes' origins.
We’ll head to Restaurante Alaya to experience typical dishes, including chicharrón de cerdo (pork crackling) and fritanga with a refreshing beer. Then, we'll visit the colonial restaurant Mirasol for the singani sour, peanut soup, and pique macho, a dish made of beef, sausages, potatoes, and egg.
Lastly, we'll visit the Café Higher Ground, where we'll end the tour with a local dessert and a glass of wine.
