La Paz Food Tour
We'll meet in the Plaza San Francisco square at 6.30 pm for an evening tour to discover the flavours of Bolivia!
Our first stop will be the Mercado Lanza, a market for fresh produce and tropical fruits. Here we'll try a vitamin juice and api con pastel, a traditional drink with a pie.
Next, we'll visit popular local restaurants in La Paz to sample traditional snacks and dishes. As we tour the historic centre, we'll learn about Bolivian cuisine and local recipes.
We'll begin at Restaurante Alaya with typical Bolivian dishes, tasting chicharrón de cerdo (pork crackling) and fritanga with a refreshing beer. Then, at the colonial restaurant Mirasol, we’ll enjoy singani sour, traditional peanut soup, and pique macho, a dish of beef, sausages, potatoes, and egg.
Lastly, we’ll visit the Café Higher Ground, where we’ll conclude the tour with a local dessert and a glass of wine.
