La Paz Food Tour
We'll meet in the Plaza San Francisco square at 6.30 pm to set off on an evening tour to discover the flavours of Bolivia!
Our first stop will be the Mercado Lanza, where we'll try a vitamin juice and api con pastel, a traditional drink with a pie!
Next, we will visit popular local restaurants to sample traditional snacks and dishes. As we tour the historic centre of La Paz, we'll learn about Bolivian cuisine and the origins of local recipes.
We'll start at Restaurante Alaya to taste chicharrón de cerdo (pork crackling) and fritanga with a refreshing beer. We will then visit Mirasol to try singani sour, a drink made from Muscat of Alexandria grape, peanut soup, and pique macho, a beef dish with sausages, potatoes, and egg.
Lastly, we'll visit Café Higher Ground, where we'll end the tour with a local dessert and a glass of wine.
