Tour Details

We'll meet at the designated time at The Steakhouse on Calle Murillo, in the heart of La Paz. From here, we'll set off on an alternative route to the usual tourist paths, visiting places frequented by the locals of the Bolivian capital.

For an authentic experience, we'll take public transport (bus, minibus, or cable car) to different stops on the tour. Our first stop will be the Cementerio General, a large cemetery with a noteworthy history and the resting place of significant historical figures.

Next, we'll take the cable car up to El Alto to admire the city from 2.5 miles (4,000 meters) above sea level on the Altiplano plateau. We'll also visit the witches' market, where you can get your fortune told with coca leaves by a local yatiri (shaman).

Afterwards, we'll head to the El Alto viewpoint to conclude the day with a view of the valley of La Paz and the snow-capped Illimani Mountain.

At the end of the 3-hour tour, we'll return to the starting point, where we'll enjoy a typical drink at the Sol y Luna Café.
