Lake Titicaca 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Copacabana and Sol Island

At 7:30, pickup from La Paz Bus Terminal to begin the journey to Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. After four hours, arrive at Copacabana. Following a typical lunch, visit the port to board a boat to Isla del Sol, historically significant as the cradle of the Inca Empire. Explore the Yumani staircase and the sacred source of the Incas. In the afternoon, walk to the Pallakasa viewpoint for a sunset over the lake before returning to the hotel on Isla del Sol for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Pilcocaina & Copacabana

After breakfast at the hotel with views of Lake Titicaca, travel by boat to the ruins of Pilcocaina on Isla del Sol, learning the history of this ancient palace. Return to Copacabana to explore local attractions. At midday, enjoy lunch at a typical restaurant. Start the bus journey back to La Paz, arriving at the bus terminal at 5:30 pm.

Visit to Isla de la Luna and Sampaya

When reserving, you can select the option for a visit to Isla de la Luna (Island of the Moon). This includes a boat trip to the island on the first day of the tour, where you will visit Inca ruins and the temple, as well as the stone town of Sampaya.

Accommodation

The tour includes one night’s accommodation at Campo Santo Hostal, Las Islas, or similar, in a double room with a private bathroom.
